Studying German with Irene was delightful! Her classes were an excellent mix of reading Swiss classics (Heidi, William Tell), studying grammar, practicing practical spoken situations and vocabulary, and preparing for TELC style testing. My favorite outings included a scavenger hunt through Basel learning local history and facts while solving the puzzles (in German) that would lead us to the next clues!

Irene is the best language teacher I have ever had. We cover all the important topics with a mix of exercises, readings, grammar explanations conversation and, our favourite, the infamous 'Hörtest'! I don't know how she does it, but her lessons are always fun and we have a good laugh whilst learning which is always the best way. Not only is she a good teacher, but she has become a good friend. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.
